As part of the Pfyn-Finges Nature Park, the municipality of Leuk not only bears the Swiss Parks Award. Two years ago, it was also the first Valais municipality to receive the ISGU's No Littering label.

Through targeted anti-littering measures, the nature park community of Leuk is actively taking steps against waste lying around and being thrown away. Although as a label holder she is committed to various measures every year, the Clean-Up-Day has become more than just the fulfilment of a condition. The great successes of recent years have prompted the municipality of Leuk to set a larger framework this year: Together with the neighbouring municipalities of Agarn, Guttet-Feschel, Varen and Salgesch, more than 320 schoolchildren, 40 accompanying persons such as teachers, community workers, nature park employees and local council members from the Pfyn-Finges nature park committed themselves for the first time to active litter control on 26 September.
