Landscape in Change

Landscapes shape both inhabitants and visitors of a region. They are the epitome of homeland for many people. The following short films shows examples of how landscapes are anything but static. The “Nature Park” label distinguishes the landscape of the 13 park municipalities as one of the most beautiful and authentic in Switzerland.

Landscapes yesterday and today

Landscapes influence both residents and visitors to a region. For many people, they embody the feeling of home. The short films "Changing landscapes" and photo images impressively illustrate that landscapes are anything but unchanging.

Webcam animations 2012 - 2024

Landscape changes in the nature park communities: Since 2012, the nature park has been operating several observation stations with webcams in collaboration with the University of Fribourg. These include the Furggentälti Gemmi, the Turtmann Glacier and the wild Rhone.

Back to Future
