Current Projects

The nature park connects producers and consumers from the region

The Pfyn-Finges Nature Park is committed to developing the region in a way that is suitable for our grandchildren. This also includes the use of local, seasonal products with the shortest possible transportation routes. Over 100 businesses - from large companies to hobby producers - produce a wide variety of products from local resources in our unique landscape. Whether for your hotel's breakfast buffet, your village store's assortment or the aperitif at your next event: in this directory you will find a comprehensive and systematic collection of regional products with contact details of the respective producers.

Petit-Bois - Nature in the city

A former vineyard was renaturalized and connected to the existing 'Petit-Bois' woodland. The old vines were removed and native shrub and tree species adapted to the location were planted. With their rich variety of flowers, flower meadows offer wild bees, butterflies and co. food. The supplementary small structures (piles of stones, dead wood, heaps of branches) provide suitable shelter. The meadow orchard (high-stem fruit trees with a flower meadow) complements the other valuable habitats. On an area of around 5,500 m², the public can now find opportunities to stroll and linger, as well as inspiration for promoting biodiversity in their own gardens. Discover how you can promote biodiversity in your garden in these newly created natural areas. Humorous boards point out design options and offer you further information via QR code.

Invasive plants

Exotic plants are encroaching on our native flora and fauna. This is why the fight against invasive neophytes is a major issue in the Pfyn-Finges Nature Park. The Natur Park team takes action against invasive plants, trains interested communities and private individuals and raises public awareness of this important issue.
