Thirteen nature park communities have received the Regional Nature Park of National Importance Award for their unique and outstanding natural and landscape values. They want to preserve and enhance the traditional cultural and natural landscapes, to promote development of the economy fit for their grandchildren and sensitise and educate their inhabitants.

Bearded vulture

The bearded vulture with a wing-span of over 2.6 metres is the largest bird in the Alps. There are numerous stories about this bird from the past, which are evidenced by old trivial names such as "chamois vulture" or "lamb vulture".

Current Projects

Der Naturpark verbindet Produzenten und Abnehmer aus der Region

Der Naturpark Pfyn-Finges engagiert sich für eine enkeltaugliche Entwicklung der Region. Dazu gehört auch das Nutzen von einheimischen, saisonalen Produkten mit möglichst kurzen Transportwegen. Über 100 Betriebe - vom Grossbetrieb bis zum Hobbyproduzenten - stellen aus lokalen Ressourcen in unserer einmaligen Landschaft eine breite Vielfalt an Produkten her. Sei es für das Frühstücksbuffet Ihres Hotels, das Sortiment Ihres Dorfladens oder das Apéro Ihrer nächsten Veranstaltung: in diesem Verzeichnis finden Sie eine umfassende und systematische Samlung regionaler Produkte mit Kontaktangaben der jeweiligen Produzenten.

Petit-Bois - Natur in der Stadt

Ein ehemalige Weinhügel renaturiert und mit dem bestehenden Waldstück ‘Petit-Bois’ verbunden. Dazu wurden die alten Rebstöcke entfernt und mit standortangepassten, einheimischen Strauch- und Baumarten bepflanzt. Blumenwiesen bieten mit ihrem reichen Blütenangebot Wildbiene, Schmetterling und Co. Nahrung. Die ergänzenden Kleinstrukturen (Steinhaufen, Totholz, Asthaufen) sorgen für geeigneten Unterschlupf. Die Streuobstwiese (Hochstammobstbäume mit Blumenwiese) ergänzt die verschiedenen wertvollen Lebensräume. Die Bevölkerung fintet nun auf einer Fläche von rund 5'500 m² Möglichkeit zum Spazieren und Verweilen, aber auch Inspiration für die Förderung der Artenvielfalt im eigenen Garten. Entdecken Sie auf den neugeschaffenen Naturflächen Möglichkeiten, wie Sie die Artenvielfalt in Ihrem Garten fördern können. Humorvolle Tafeln weisen Sie auf Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten hin und bieten Ihnen via QR-Code weiterreichende Informationen. 

Invasive plants

Exotische Pflanzen bedrängen unsere einheimische Flora und Fauna. Darum ist die Neophytenbekämpfung ein grosses Thema im Naturpark Pfyn-Finges. Sein Team geht gegen invasive Pflanzen vor,  bildet interessierte Gemeinden sowie Privatpersonen aus und sensibilisiert die Bevölkerung zu diesem Thema.
