Cleaning day - 100 volunteers for the Pfynwald nature reserve

On April 5, the traditional clean-up day took place in the Pfynwald nature reserve. Over 100 dedicated helpers supported the Pfyn-Finges Nature Park in ridding this unique landscape of garbage. Among them was the LSH association from Salgesch, which has been involved in clean-up campaigns for years.

Two skips of waste collected in a very short time

In summery weather, the motivated participants - including many families and clubs - met at Leuk train station in the morning. In groups, they cleaned up the hiking and walking trails. "Why people throw washing machines in the forest when they can be disposed of free of charge in the landfill remains a mystery to me. " said one helper indignantly. Finally, the helpers were treated to culinary delights. At the "Balmen" picnic area in Salgesch Castle, everyone was able to enjoy the offerings of Nature Park partner businesses "Relais Bayard", the "Albert Mathier" and "Franz-Josef Mathier" wineries and the Sonnenberge brewery.

Valuable support

With FMV, the Pfyn-Finges Nature Park has a strong partner at its side. Every year, the energy producer invests in this event and other collaborations. Thanks are also due to the Susten gravel works of Theler AG, which provides the skips free of charge and disposes of the collected waste professionally. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to this successful day.
