Hidden object book - Où est Finya?

The Pfyn-Finges Nature Park will be presenting its "Où est Finya" hidden object book at the Katharinenmarkte on November 27, 2023. This co-realization with the nature park's tourist destinations highlights its most beautiful landscapes. Without text, the child is guided by Finya and discovers the most beautiful places and landscapes of the Pfyn-Finges Nature Park: Sierre, Crans-Montana, Salgesch, Leuk, Erschmatt, Leukerbad and the Turtmann Valley.

The drawings by Gabriel Giger stimulate children's imagination to discover their own story in each landscape. This awakens their curiosity to explore these places on their next family outing!

"The idea for the project came from Leuk Tourism," explains Armin Christen, Head of Environmental Education at the Pfyn-Finges Nature Park. "After Bettmeralp had published a beautiful book, Destination Leuk came up with the idea of jointly creating a hidden object book for our region." At the beginning, the nature park was skeptical, says Christen. "It is not one of the core competencies of a nature park to publish children's books." The project therefore had to bring greater added value than just becoming a tourist product. Ultimately, this book tells of the diversity and richness of the landscapes of the Pfyn-Finges Nature Park in a different way. In each drawing, the nature park mascot Finya travels to a different place and discovers the most beautiful landscapes there or meets his friends, e.g. Sunny in Sierre, Bibi in Crans-Montana or Thermi in Leukerbad.

"This project is a great success. It shows how the Nature Park can be the link between tourist destinations to create something bigger, like this wonderful discovery book Where is Finya?", says Tiffany Müller, Director of the Sierre Tourist Office.

The Nature Park is proud that we were able to realize the book together with the destinations Crans-Montana Tourisme & Congrès, Leuk Tourismus, My Leukerbad AG, Oberems Tourismus, Sierre Tourisme and Turtmanntal Tourismus. Collaborations and projects like these strengthen the entire region of the nature park.
