Chambourcin "Bartgeier" (“Bearded Vulture”) 2021 Swiss country wine - DIROSO Winery

After maturing for 12 months in oak barrels, the robust Chambourcin grapes produce a particularly characterful red wine with an intense color. The nose reveals delicate cinnamon and cranberry notes, paired with fine dried fruit and roasted aromas. On the palate, it reveals a surprisingly powerful, complex structure with soft tannins and balanced acidity.
Chambourcin is a fine accompaniment to succulent meat, ragout and especially lamb dishes.

The unmistakable bearded vulture, which has been successfully reintroduced to the Upper Valais after a long absence, is as distinctive and powerful as this wine.
