The narrow trail leads through beautiful and wild alpine landscapes across all types of terrain and numerous streams, and past idyllically situated alpine huts.
From Turtmann we take the cable car to Oberems and from there with the bus to Gruben. The ascent to and descent from the high-level trail is on wide gravel paths.

“Zer Pletschu” is a small paradise where the Borterbach flows through the plain, forming a magical landscape. Depending on the weather it is quite possible that there are patches of snow in some places due to the high altitude of the trail.
At the entry to the village there is the old sawmill, if it is open, you should take a look inside. After a stroll through the old village centre, one has finally earned some refreshment in the Emshorn restaurant.

Oberems lies on a mountain road at the entrance to the Turtmann valley at an altitude of 1335 m. The "Gateway to Turtmann valley" only has 135 inhabitants, but with 5080 ha its area is one of the largest communities in the district of Leuk.
