Bye bye invasive plants!

Hill Mustard is causing massive problems for biodiversity in Crans-Montana.

Help us eradicate this invasive plant! As a reward for your hard work, the municipality of Crans-Montana and the Pfyn-Finges Nature Park will treat you to refreshments.

Get to know the invasive neophytes that occur in this region, the associated problems and how combat them sustainably!

In principle, non endemic plants, like potatoes, are usually not problematic. They are simply plants that are “new” to an existing, well-established ecosystem. But, if these alien plants are not regulated by predators or parasites in the new ecosystem, they can spread rapidly at the expense of the native species. They are difficult to control and cause increasing health, economic and ecological damage. Highly specialized species of flora and fauna, which are already rare, are usually the first victims.

On May 16th, after a short lecture, we will go out and activley fight against these plants!
