The Lämmeren area offers its visitors a unique, beautiful mountain world in the middle of the Wildstrubel area.
The Lämmerenboden, which lies on the way to the Wildstrubel glacier, is known as an alpine meadow. Floodplains are dynamic landscapes characterised by fluctuating water levels and constantly changing due to flooding, erosion and deposition of material. These unique habitats are characterised by constant destruction and new beginnings. The alpine floodplain Lämmerenboden received the highest rating: Alpine floodplain of national importance.
