Agriculture and Forest management
Agriculture has a major influence on the landscape and the biodiversity.
For this reason the Pfyn-Finges Nature Park coordinates different projects in this sector. The nature park is supported in its work by regular operations in the nature by volunteer work from schools, civil defence workers and many more.

Hedge care
The Pfyn-Finges Nature Park contributes to the variety of species through hedge care. It also supports the nature park education program: through the assistance with the hedge care from partner schools, children and adolescents are sensitised for our nature.

Landscape quality
The Pfyn-Finges Nature Park has prepared a landscape quality project for the canton that covers the whole district of Leuk. The nature park has also prepared a networking project for the municipality of Leuk. The nature park makes its skills available to different target groups. Farmers, municipalities and the community are sensitised for the natural and landscape values at annual events.

Forest management
The nature park found workers for the local forestry enterprises for operations in the nature. This cooperation has enabled pastured woodlands to be maintained and many “negative” fences to be removed within the perimeter. An annual meeting between the nature park and the forestry enterprises ensures coordination of projects for the conservation of species in the woods.
