A bear paw still hangs today in the municipal hall in Oberems !

On the hike through beautiful forest passages, rustic hamlets, and across the Bear Bridge, you will find all the important bear information. Spectacular cable car rides complete the experience.

The path offers the hiker beautiful views, wonderful forest passages, interesting information about the bear, entertainment for children, and if someone does not want to carry a backpack – no problem, as you will find restaurants at the start and end of the route.

The starting point Unterems is accessible by cable car or by car. You can admire the beautiful view of the other side of the Rhone Valley as well as Ergisch. The path runs directly along the old water conduit in a lovely mixed forest. In the second hamlet passed, an information board has been erected in memory of the bear shot here. After crossing the stream "Turtmännä", the hiker reaches the beautiful Toibu forest with its tall fir trees. Across lush meadows with unique floral diversity, Oberems is reached with intact mountain farming and its beautiful Valais houses. Here you will also find the bear paw.

The Bear Path can also be started from Oberems and does not lose any of its charm.
