The “Grünes Zimmer Agarn”
The "Grünes Zimmer" (Green Room) in Agarn is to become a centre for gathering knowledge and expertise in order to preserve the traditional Valais way of life. It has been set up by the Ischärs Agaru Foundation, whose president is Herbert Dirren, former member of the Swiss National Council. The foundation is currently restoring two run-down buildings in Agarn for use by the "Grünes Zimmer" centre.

The "Grünes Zimmer" will focus on four core areas:

bird Quality regional products
bird Dry stone walling
bird Livestock and arable farming
bird Preserving the history of Valais in visual, audio and print media
