What would a nature park be without mammals? Some 50 species of mammals are found in the region and the rest of Valais. A very special guest made an appearance on the banks of the main canal back in 1977 and has stayed with us since - the beaver! These bashful animals leave very clear traces on the landscape, but gaining an opportunity to observe them is difficult.
