In the heart of Pfyn-Finges Forest, the groundwater forms an array of ponds with evocative names such as Muggotolo, Pfafforetsee, Muggenseeli Rosensee and Schafsee.
![]() Every pond has its very own charm: reed belts or rushes, clear waters or carpets of duckweed. Here you can hear frogs croaking, while not far away you can see the piercing blue of the kingfisher or the metallic sheen of the emperor dragonfly. Twenty-six species of dragonfly, six species of amphibian, grass snakes, ducks, great crested grebes and herons share this kingdom with fish such as the tench, carp and pike. |
