| Not many jobs can be created within the organization of the nature park itself, since the basic purpose of the park is to serve as a platform. Switzerland Tourism is one of the organizations that markets the park as such a platform. The arrangements are already in place for Switzerland Tourism to hold the annual "Mountain Summer" event on September 2, 2009, which attracts 150-200 journalists to the region from around the globe. It is expected that this and similar events will increase visitor numbers in the region, which in turn should benefit local trade. The potential for job creation therefore lies much more with local companies that, in generating more sales, can create new jobs over the long term. |
